Comparison example between original script and original finished page 21 for Uncle Scrooge # 63.
This is an example of Carl Barks original script-page 21 from "House of Haunts" and the matching final original page. Western editors marked the page as number 22 because they should put in an advertising page in the comic. Therefore sometimes sold on later auctions the page numbers are a bit confusing. It is clearly that Carl sticked very closely to his scripts when he draw his stories. It was Carl`s wife, Garè who inked the texting and all of the bigger black areas. Notice that the last panel 8 is actually not missing. If you scroll down this section you will be able to find the panel 8 on script-page 21 which continue to script page 22.
Original comic book page 21 ( numbered as page 22 by Western ) Carl sold the page on April, 1970 ). Until now we can only match survived original pages from the US-63 story to script pages from the same story. The other survived scripts for Uncle Scrooge stories has no "companion" of original stories to match.
The page # 21 ( 22 ) has found it`s home in Italy.
